Can't find an Artist Page in Search

The search function is not manually overseen or curated. It's based on a variety of algorithms, two of them being relevance and popularity. To improve the signal quality of data used in the algorithms that generate a higher search result, it is recommended that artists establish and maintain a social media presence, get people and press talking about their music online, and encourage listeners to listen to music within Spotify.

The search results are also algorithmically designed to accommodate for misspellings. We are constantly trying to optimize our user experience and as a result the edit distance allowed may be subject to change.
