Query about Language of Performance Support

To communicate a Language Of Performance, you need to send the <LanguageOfPerformance> tag within the SoundRecording section in the metadata XML.

<LanguageOfPerformance>kn</LanguageOfPerformance>

In DDEX ERN 4+, send the Language of the Performance data in the SoundRecording as defined in IETF RfC 5646. Format the Language and Script as lang[-script][-region][-variant].

In ERN 3, the Language of the Performance recorded in the SoundRecording is represented by an ISO 639-2 LanguageCode. For more information on when to use LanguageOfPerformance tags please see this DDEX article.
