What artist roles are considered for the ‘Credits’ section

There are three elements of the ‘Credits’ section: “Performed by”, “Written by” and “Produced by”. See what Artist roles are considered for each element below.

  1. Performed by: ‘Main Artist’, ‘Featured Artist’, ‘Remixer’, ‘Conductor’, ‘Orchestra’

  2. Written by: ‘Composer’, ‘Lyricist’ (‘Writer’ and ‘Author’ are considered as well, but as the roles are not defined in DDEX we recommend against using these contributor references)

  3. Produced by: ‘Producer’

The individual artists and contributors in each element are ordered as per, delivered in the XML, besides from the “Written by” section, which lists contributors in alphabetical order.
